Tom Sawyer

Sid is Tom Sawyer's half-brother, and a huge pain. He is constantly telling on Tom or being a blabber-mouth in some other way.

Near the beginning of the book he catches that Tom's collar was sewed white by Aunt Polly, but is now black.  Later, he refuses to believe that Tom's long, perfectly accurate, amazingly detailed dream was really a dream (which it wasn't), and seems resentful at all the attention Tom is getting for being alive. The last big thing Sid does is spoil the surprise of Huck's involvement in saving Widow Douglas.
